Our Partners are instrumental in helping us give kids the chance to play ball regardless of their economic backgrounds.
Youth sports help kids build character, leadership skills, confidence, and resiliency. Kids in under-resourced areas often can not afford the equipment needed to play baseball and softball. Our mission is to eliminate barriers by providing equipment directly to leagues, schools, and organizations around the world who are most in need.
Since 2008, these funded programs have helped schools create more opportunities for kids to play ball. Students who participate have shown increased attendance and GPA.
PIFBS provides gear to increase youth participation in under-resourced areas across the country, and helps international communities establish programs when access to equipment is limited.
In times of tragedy, baseball and softball can help restore a sense of normalcy for kids. We’ve helped dozens of communities around the globe recover following catastrophic events.
PIFBS equipment grants are designed to help leagues, teams, and community organizations get the equipment needed to play baseball or softball. We average over 350 projects in the United States, and 100 projects globally each year.
Softball has deeply impacted who Athena is and has taught her many invaluable life lessons. For her Senior Project, Athena wanted to make the sport more accessible for young girls.
Athena decided to run a free clinic for young athletes to grasp the fundamental techniques and skills that are needed to play. She is also running a fundraiser dedicated to PIFBS to help alleviate softball’s monetary barriers.
Thank you, Athena, for choosing PIFBS as your project beneficiary and helping make softball more accessible for others!

Owena Little League in Nigeria turned to baseball as a way to keep children off the streets. To ensure that every child had the opportunity to play, Owena applied for a PIFBS equipment grant. One child who was able to benefit from this donation was Victor.
Victor had lost his father before the season began. Through baseball, his team provided him with support and confidence when he needed it most. His teammates became like a family to him, and he was thrilled to receive the equipment he needed to play.
Baseball helped Victor feel a sense of normalcy. With your help, we can provide this same opportunity to other children who need it most. Would you consider making a $5 donation to support players like Victor?

At 10 years old David started playing baseball, hoping to become a catcher. He was never able to start practicing because he never had his own catcher set to use.
After David`s league, Indios De Columbia, received a PIFBS equipment grant, he could finally start playing at his dream position.
David`s excitement and motivation quickly made him one of the best players on the team. His play helped lead his team to finish in 1st place during one of their international tournament competitions.
Today on $5 Friday, will you consider making just a $5 donation to help more players like David, and increase access to the game of baseball and softball?
In our first-ever $5 Friday, we want to share one of our favorite stories about Lena from Minneapolis, MN. Lena`s original glove was way too small for high school softball. When her school received a PIFBS equipment grant, Lena was given a glove that fit her perfectly. Her play that season improved so much that she won the Most Outstanding Defensive Player award!
A new glove can make a massive difference in the way a child plays. Today on $5 Friday, will you donate to help us make a difference for other players like Lena? Venmo us at @pifbs and help us provide the same opportunity that Lena was able to have.
This month, PIFBS and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund proudly partnered to provide over 70 baseball and softball team kits to programs across Twins Territory! This equipment will help an estimated 3,700+ baseball, softball, and tee-ball players across four different states this season!

PIFBS has been supporting programs in Belize since 2017. This year, we provided an equipment grant donation to the Belize Softball Federation (BSF). This donation will promote and spread access to softball for schools within the Corozal District of Belize. We are proud to help support BSF and continue to grow the game of softball internationally 👊🥎
Jack is currently preparing to take his black belt test this summer. As part of his training, Jack is required to complete a community service project. Given his love for baseball, he chose to run an equipment collection project with PIFBS. Jack had set up equipment collection bins outside his karate studio and Little League field.
Thanks for your support, Jack! Good luck with your black belt test! 🥋⚾🥎
