Youth sports help kids build character, leadership skills, confidence, and resiliency.
Promoting Youth Development
Pitch In For Baseball & Softball helps over 100,000 kids get on the field each year through our four core programs: Domestic Grants, International Grants, School-Based Programs, and Disaster Relief Program.
Each grant recipient must submit required reporting at the conclusion of their season to be eligible for future grants. The required data, anecdotes, and photos that we receive are used to communicate our impact to our donors in the hopes that they continue to support our mission to help more kids play ball.
Since 2008, these funded programs have helped schools create more opportunities for kids to play ball. Students who participate have been shown to increase their attendance and GPA.
PIFBS provides gear to increase youth participation in under-resourced areas across the country, and helps international communities establish programs when access to equipment is limited.
In times of tragedy, baseball and softball can help restore a sense of normalcy for kids. We’ve helped dozens of communities around the globe recover following catastrophic events.
