Located in Nigeria, Ekiti Kete Little League Baseball and Softball Association was faced with having to cancel their 2017 season due to a lack of equipment. Luckily, they found Pitch In For Baseball & Softball and submitted a request for equipment. PIFBS was able to provide the league with over $1,600 worth of equipment including gloves, catcher’s gear, baseballs, helmets, bats, and uniform sets. Two children, Esther and Oluwapelumi, are left handed but due to lack of equipment were forced to use gloves for right handed players. PIFBS sent along several gloves for left handed players and as a result, Esther and Olumwapelumi were able to throw with the proper hand for the first time! In turn, this boosted their confidence and allowed them to develop an even greater interest in the game.
