Former professional ball player and Hawaii native, Shane Komine, is passionate about bringing baseball to the island where it is very difficult to access. He reached out to PIFBS for help with an equipment grant for the Kahului Giants Organization located in Wailuku, Hawaii. PIFBS was able to donated catcher’s gear, baseballs, hitting nets, bases, and batting tees for eight teams within the Giants Organization. The blend of new and gently used equipment will help over 250 kids on the island get the safe equipment they need to play ball!
