A NOTE FROM OUR CEO
Greetings, PIFBS Family,
As I reflect on my childhood, the vibrant memories of playing in community leagues hold a special place in my heart. Back then, travel ball wasn’t prevalent, and community leagues were the backbone of our social fabric. These leagues fostered a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie. Kids played alongside their schoolmates, forging friendships that extended beyond the ballpark. This sense of community is what I believe parents continue to seek today, and it’s precisely why PIFBS remains committed to supporting these groups.
This summer, your donations carry immeasurable importance. They empower us to sustain our mission and nurture the sense of community that these leagues provide. Every contribution helps us extend kindness, support families, and ensure that these leagues continue to be a haven for connection and growth. Your unwavering support is the cornerstone of our success and has a real, tangible impact on the families and communities we serve.
Your support transcends mere donations; it fuels our mission and genuinely changes lives. This summer, I’m reaching out to ask you to keep standing strong with us. Whether through a monetary donation or by donating lightly used gear, let’s ensure our projects press on and our progress soars. By banding together, we can overcome any challenge and ensure our mission flourishes.
With deep appreciation,
Meredith P. Kim

PIFBS has had a remarkable April and May!
PIFBS has had an exceptional April and May! Over the past two months, we have reached more than 7,900 kids, supporting programs in 17 states and 8 countries. We donated equipment valued at over $117K to help kids play ball and pursue their passion for baseball and softball.
Our mission to make sports accessible to all children would not be possible without the incredible support of our donors and partners. Your generosity and dedication allow us to continue expanding our reach and impact, bringing joy and opportunity to youth around the world.
Congratulations to Matt!
We are delighted to announce that Matt has successfully completed his equipment collection project for Pitch In For Baseball & Softball. On June 1st, he delivered an impressive array of baseball gear, all amassed in just two months.
Matt embarked on this project to fulfill his school service requirement, collecting unused baseball equipment from his local community and opposing teams throughout his High School Baseball season.
Thanks to Matt’s dedication and hard work, many young aspiring athletes will now have access to the gear they need. Let’s give a big shout-out to Matt for making a meaningful difference!
Exciting Partnership with Diamond Nation to Support Underprivileged Youth in Baseball and Softball
We are excited to announce our partnership with Diamond Nation, one of the nation’s premier baseball and softball training complexes! This collaboration will help us in our mission to eliminate equipment as a barrier to play for underprivileged youth.
As part of this partnership, Diamond Nation will serve as an official equipment collection site for Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) and will support various fundraising initiatives throughout the year. Together, we aim to mobilize the baseball and softball community to increase access to the sport for children who might not otherwise have the means to participate.
This collaboration is crucial as equipment prices continue to rise, yet the popularity of the game grows. We are looking forward to making a significant impact in the baseball and softball communities through our partnership with Diamond Nation in 2024 and beyond.
Volunteer with Us at Upcoming PIFBS Events!
This summer, Pitch In for Baseball and Softball has an amazing opportunity to boost our impact with Diamond Nation. We’ll be at major tournaments in June and July to raise awareness and funds.
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to staff our booth, sell raffle tickets, manage the prize wheel, and guide attendees to our resources. Volunteers are needed on July 27 from 10 AM to 6 PM, with two-hour shifts available. Volunteers will earn industry hours, fulfill volunteer requirements, enjoy team-building opportunities, get a free PIFBS t-shirt, and refreshments. Join us for a rewarding experience!
