At PIFBS, we believe that every child deserves the chance to step up to the plate, no matter their family’s financial situation. By providing essential equipment to Williamsport Area Little League, we are making this possible. As their Vice President, Levi Schappell, says, “It’s not just about playing a game; it’s about creating opportunities and building a community.”

Coach Tanya Tompkins of Williamsport Area Little League captures the essence of what we do: “Your program helps ease financial stress by providing the basic equipment needed to play. It makes a big difference for those who can’t afford a glove, which is essential for softball.”

Every day in my job, I hear from struggling parents and families who are in need of help. I can’t imagine being in those positions and having kids who want to play sports, only to have to let them down by telling them they can’t afford it. Your program helps alleviate some of the financial stress by providing basic equipment necessary to play the game. It has a significant impact on those who say they can’t afford a glove, which is necessary to play softball. You are changing the game for many kids. In a society where so much is going wrong, softball and baseball can make a positive impact or change in a child’s life, who may not have the positivity the need. It could change their lives for the better. Thank you for all that you are doing for our children.

Tanya Tompkins, Coach and board member at WALL

We’re not just giving kids gloves and bats; we’re filling their lives with hope, positivity, and a sense of belonging. Tanya explained, “In a world where so much can go wrong, softball and baseball can bring positive change to a child’s life, especially if they lack positivity. It can truly change their lives for the better.”

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps us make a real difference. Together, we’re changing lives one game at a time.
