In July 2015, PIFBS supporter Zack Hample came up with Alex Rodriguez’s 3,000th hit ball. Upon returning the ball, the Yankees committed $150,000 donation to PIFBS to support leagues and school teams in the Bronx for the next three years.
To celebrate the success of the three year partnership, the Yankees generously donated the use of one of their suites to PIFBS at a game in late August. We invited our supporters, friends, executive board, and all baseball enthusiasts to join us for an evening of fun as a fundraiser for PIFBS. Guests even had an opportunity to purchase a ticket allowing them exclusive on-field access during pre-game! In addition to a PIFBS shirts and wristband, attendees also received a Yankees backpack and Yankees mini bat thanks to our friends at Wilson Sporting Goods. Folks also had the chance to hang out with Zack Hample for the night! We would like to thank everyone who made this night possible and successful – the New York Yankees and Wilson Sporting Goods! Also thanks to all those who shared the evening with us at this one of a kind event!
