RUG Little League in Seattle, WA, was awarded an equipment grant through PIFBS in 2020.

As the smallest Little League in terms of numbers in the Seattle area, RUG Little League is limited on funding and located in an economically-challenged area of the city. Families often can not afford the costs of sports leagues or providing equipment for their kids to play.

Before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the 2020 season in March, the league distributed many of the mitts and cleats received in the equipment grant, and the kids were very excited. Balls, helmets, and other gear would help ensure that kids have the proper equipment to play ball in 2021.
