Nephi Recreation’s softball and baseball programs in Nephi, UT, received an equipment grant from PIFBS in 2020. The recreation department is set up to serve a small community, but ultimately serves the entire county. The league has previously been able to come up with donations to cover the costs of registration, but did not have a way to help kids who don’t have their own gloves until they applied for and received an equipment grant of gloves, catchers gear, and batting helmets for the kids to use.
