City of Delta Recreation baseball in Delta, CO, was awarded an equipment grant from PIFBS in 2020. The league hoped the donation would increase accessibility to its baseball and softball programs and ensure safer play. They also planned to allocate more of their financial resources towards the league’s youth scholarship program serving disadvantage/low-income families. The league had some high risk/low income children benefit from the new equipment who wouldn’t have been able to play otherwise.
