Meredith joined Pitch In For Baseball & Softball in 2013 and is an advocate for the impact of sports on youth development. Growing up in Hamilton, New York, Meredith was a three sport student athlete who understands full well the positive impact of sport and play on a childโ€™s growth and development.

With a B.A. in English from Dickinson College, Meredith has nearly 20 years of fundraising and management experience with both grassroots and international nonprofit organizations.

Meredithโ€™s passion for leveling the playing field and background has helped Pitch In For Baseball & Softball become a stronger, more efficient organization, double annual revenue, establish a more diverse funding base, and measure and communicate impact more effectively.

Steve Bizon

Chief Operating Officer

A lifelong sports fan with dreams of having a job in the sports industry, Steve first joined the Pitch In For Baseball & Softball team as an Operations intern in 2013 and became a fulltime staff member later that same year.

Since joining the team, he has played a vital part in helping PIFBS grow from under 150 donations in 2013 to over 1,200 donations in 2023.

Growing up, Steve played several sports, including soccer, baseball and hockey. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gwynedd-Mercy University, with a degree in Sports Management.

Steve manages all aspects of our operations and equipment partnerships.

Ryan

Ryan Rieber

Grants Manager

Ryan is a former collegiate athlete who played baseball at DeSales University. He holds a bachelorโ€™s degree in Sports Management and a masterโ€™s degree in Management from DeSales.

Ryan was fortunate enough to play baseball all his life and now wants to help give back to the game through PIFBS.

Lauren Nagata

Program & Office Coordinator

While obtaining a bachelorโ€™s degree in Geography & Environment (culture/statistics), Lauren worked for the University of Hawaii at Manoaโ€™s Health, Physical Education & Recreation Department and the athletic complex where she enjoyed ball games and other sporting events.

Lauren brings to PIFBS amazing research skills and proven customer service. She is happy to support baseball, softball and sports that promote team spirit, positive thinking and kindness between generations.

Tony

Tony DelGrosso

Warehouse & Inventory Manager

Born in Bethlehem PA, Tony played baseball, football, and basketball growing up which helped develop his passion for sports. He graduated from Temple University in 2013 with a degree in Sport and Recreation Management.

A baseball junkie, Tony loves seeing kids get the opportunity to play ball. Our mission at PIFBS coincides directly with Tonyโ€™s desire to see the game grow. Tonyโ€™s motto is simple: Singles suck. Throw gas, hit dingers.

Jon Blitzer

Director of Development

Jon Blitzer joins PIFBS as Director of Development after spending the past three years as Development Director, Eastern PA for Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA). Jon is a lifelong sports fan who leveraged that love into more than 25 years of raising funds to make sports more accessible.

Jon’s tenure at SOPA was highlighted by significantly growing and leveraging fundraising events to maximize corporate and peer-to-peer revenue generation, most notably by partnering with the Philadelphia Phillies to reimagine SOPA’s signature Philadelphia Polar Plunge, moving it to Citizens Bank Park within months of starting his position and growing it to a $500k event. over the course of three years. Similarly, Jon also collaborated with the Philadelphia Eagles to establish the SOPA Philadelphia UNcathlon, a sponsor-driven employee engagement fundraiser at the Eagles’ NovaCare Complex Field House in which corporate partners team with Special Olympics athletes in a series of NFl “combine-like” skills competitions. Prior to his tenure at SOPA, Jon served in similar capacities with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia.
