The First Glove Campaign highlights the magic and power of the first glove experience and is built on a simple but powerful concept—every ballplayer remembers breaking in their first glove, often with the help of a coach, mentor, or parent. Unfortunately, many children never get that experience due to financial barriers.
Share the Glove is part of this campaign, and aimed at giving baseball fans the chance to give a child their first glove experience. You can help provide baseball and softball gloves to kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play. By participating in Glove Nights at select MLB games this year, your support helps share the joy of the game and inspire the next generation of players.
About “Share the Glove”
At Pitch In For Baseball & Softball, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to play. That’s why we work with partners like Major League Baseball to get equipment to kids in need. As part of Share the Glove, select major league clubs will host Glove Nights at stadiums, making it easier for you to donate new or used gloves that will find a second life in the hands of a young player. Plus, thanks to Rawlings, all donors receive an exclusive discount on their next glove purchase.

How It Works
- Donate a Glove – Bring a new or gently used glove to a Glove Night and drop it off at the designated collection area. Visit MLB Play Ball for list of Glove Nights.
- Give a Kid Their First Glove – Your donated glove will be refurbished and given to a child in need through Pitch In For Baseball & Softball® (PIFBS), helping them take their first steps in the game.
- Get Rewarded – As a thank-you for your generosity, you’ll receive a Rawlings discount code to save on your next glove purchase.
