In September, PIFBS worked to provide equipment grants to 7 different U.S. states and two countries around the world! We’re proud to help support over 80 baseball and softball teams last month.

This Spring, PIFBS teamed up with @USABaseball and former 2x MLB All-Star @mcuddy23 to help provide equipment for baseball and softball players in Cuddyer’s hometown, Chesapeake, VA. During this event, Cuddyer also provided a free clinic for players to hone their skills!

Samuel from Club Deportivo Indios de Colombia dreamed of being a catcher. After receiving a PIFBS grant, he could finally start practicing on his own. Soon after, he asked to play as his team’s backstop. Sam improved mightily and is now the starter with the best batting average!

Since 2010, PIFBS has supported Canada's passion for the game of baseball and softball. Strong representation of Canadian-born players in baseball is clear, with over 250 players in MLB history playing the game we love.

Domestic Highlight

Domestic Highlight

Pecatonica Sports Association noticed that players were using antiquated bats that were often too small for the players to hit with. When they received an equipment grant from PIFBS, they noticed a vast improvement! Pecatonica Sports Association’s 10U, 12U, and 14U baseball and softball teams were energized by their new bats! Players noticed that their new bats helped them not only hit the ball better, but also farther, bolstering their batting confidence throughout the remainder of the season.

Austintown Community Baseball (ACB)

Aeden was one player from Austintown Community Baseball (ACB) that received an equipment grant from PIFBS. From this donation, Aeden received a new bat that gave him the ability to hit confidently, becoming the team leader in hits, average, and doubles!

This donation allowed ACB to save money on equipment and dedicated more money to their Bullpen Relief Fund for families in need.

New Martinsville Junior Baseball Softball Inc

New Martinsville Junior Baseball Softball Inc

New Martinsville Junior Baseball Softball Inc (New Martinsville, WV) received an equipment grant from PIFBS that supported all TWELVE tee ball teams and ensured that ALL kids had gear. Before this donation, coaches purchased their gear. Now, they were able to expand their league!

Washburn Baseball

Through PIFBS’ Minnesota School-Based Program partnered with the Minnesota Twins, Washburn Baseball received an equipment grant that that helped their players reach higher levels. With a donation of brand new bats and other equipment, they were more excited to play the game. While playing this season, every student on the team saw an increase of BOTH their school attendance and their grades!

PIFBS, Wilson, & Louisville Slugger are partnering up to supply Cordia High School with an equipment grant valued at over $10,000. With this donation of brand-new gear, we can't wait to Cordia Baseball get back on the field!⁠

Disaster Relief Project

This past summer, eastern Kentucky faced historic storms that brought devastating flooding to the area. During a five-day stretch, an estimated 14-16″ rain swept away homes and parts of communities. Cordia High School Baseball lost everything as their field was submerged in two feet of water. ⁠

PIFBS, Wilson, & Louisville Slugger are partnering up to supply Cordia High School with an equipment grant valued at over $10,000. With this donation of brand-new gear, we can’t wait to Cordia Baseball get back on the field!⁠

Baseball and softball continues to be a growing sport in Italy. Since 2014, PIFBS has supported several programs to help increase participation and the growing interest in the game! Italy will be competing in the World Baseball Classic in 2023.
