For the first time this year, Sarah decided to go out for her local community fastpitch team. Playing on the team helped Sarah to come out of her shell and gave her confidence to compete with the other girls in the league. When the City of Salem softball league received a donation of equipment from Pitch In For Baseball & Softball, Sarah got to use a brand new bat for the first time. Her coach recalled when she got her first hit of the season with the new bat “her smile lit up the entire complex as she danced around on first base!”
