A Message From Our CEO
Hello,
Each year, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball holds annual 2 day in person meetings that brings together our entire team for strategy sessions to celebrate the wins, identify areas we can improve, and brainstorming solutions and strategies to ensure we have the resources to support our mission.
This year, PIFBS is wrapping up our current strategic plan and working to create the blueprint for the next 3 years. Since the start of the current plan 2022, we celebrated the wins:
- ⚾️ 800,000+ kids served
- 🥎 5,141 grants executed
- ⚾️ 856,000+ pieces of equipment donated
- 🥎 750 equipment donations received from 625+ donors
- ⚾️ Nearly $8 million in equipment donations received
- 🥎 $27 million+ in equipment distributed (through grants)
- ⚾️ Nearly $12 million dollars in revenue raised
- 🥎 An average of 70% of student athletes in school based programming improved their grades and attendance
- ⚾️ Supported 350+ youth service projects
- 🥎 Expanded partnerships with manufacturers for donations of new equipment
- ⚾️ Deepened work with pro baseball and softball players and agencies
This sessions served as the foundation for brainstorming ideas for how PIFBS can continue to positively impact kids for years to come. Over the coming months, we will create our next Strategic Plan.
We are grateful for all of you who love the game as much as we do. You make our work possible! In this edition, you will see more about how the donations make a difference and the kids you are helping.
With gratitude,
Meredith P. Kim
CEO, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball

Impact Spotlight
A First Season and a Place to Belong
Sometimes a first season is about more than learning the game. It is also about finding confidence, friendship, and a place to belong.
After moving to Holly Hill, South Carolina, eight-year-old Eli was excited to begin his first baseball season. His older brother wanted to play too, but the cost of equipment and uniforms for both children created an added challenge for their family.
Through an equipment grant from PIFBS, Holly Hill Youth Sports was able to provide Eli and other young athletes with essential gear, including baseball practice pants and a brand-new pair of cleats. Initially quiet and reserved, Eli grew more confident throughout the season. He developed new skills, formed friendships, and found a sense of belonging in his new community.
At PIFBS, we know an equipment donation provides much more than gear. It gives a young athlete the opportunity and encouragement to grow.
Monthly Highlights
EvoShield Knocks It Out of the Park
A huge thank you to EvoShield for their recent donation of more than $40,000 in brand-new batting helmets, batting gloves, and bags. EvoShield has been a wonderful friend to PIFBS over the years, and this donation supports our General Grants Program, which provides new and gently used equipment to leagues, schools, and communities across the country.
Grant requests have more than doubled in the past five years. In 2025, PIFBS approved 1,200 equipment grants, helping 175,000 kids play ball. That kind of impact is not possible without the support of caring partners like EvoShield. Thank you!
A Big Win at Our Angels Event
Thank YOU for helping us knock it out of the park! The Angels may not have taken the win, but thanks to you, we sure did. With your support, we raised over $12,000! 100% of dollars raised goes right back into our mission to help ensure that all kids have the gear needed to play ball. Thanks to you, PIFBS will be able to equip hundreds of kids and get them out on the field!
Welcome to the Advisory Council, Sam Ranck
We are thrilled to welcome Sam Ranck to the PIFBS Advisory Council. As Senior Executive, Strategy at Little League International, Sam leads strategic planning to expand opportunities for children to play baseball and softball, and he brings a deep passion for youth development and removing barriers to participation.
Little League International has been with PIFBS since the start. Our very first projects helped rebuild dozens of leagues along the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina, and more than two decades later, the partnership continues to thrive. Welcome, Sam!
Diamond Nation Glove Raffles
Throughout the summer, PIFBS visited our partners at Diamond Nation to raise awareness and introduce others to how they can help kids play ball. At each event, we held a new glove raffle, with every dollar raised supporting our mission. Thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations to our July raffle winner, Cole!
Events and Opportunities
Put Your Extra Gear Back in Play
Make room in the garage and make a difference! Our next Equipment Drop-Off + Volunteer Day is Saturday, November 14 at our warehouse in Warminster, PA. Donate gently used baseball and softball equipment in safe, usable condition, volunteer your time, or do both to help more kids get ready for the game.
Volunteering with us is also a great way to fulfill service hours for NHS and school service-learning goals, Bar/Bat Mitzvah projects, Eagle Scout and Girl Scout Gold Award initiatives, or college applications. It is a great team-building outing for baseball and softball teams, too.
To schedule an equipment drop-off or learn more about volunteering, please contact jack.clancy@pifbs.org.
Chip In For Baseball & Softball Is Coming Soon!
Join us Sunday, November 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at TopGolf King of Prussia for an afternoon of play, food, drinks, prizes, unique raffle items, networking, and an exclusive silent auction. Co-hosted by Ben Davis and Dave Osokow, this favorite PIFBS fundraiser brings fans and industry leaders together to help kids play ball.
Options are available for individuals, twosomes, groups of six, and non-golfing guests. All proceeds will support equipment donations.
