A Note From Our CEO

Hello,

February may be a short month — but the impact has been anything but small.

This month, we were reminded again that access changes everything. A properly fitted bat. A new glove. Team uniforms that build pride. The right equipment doesn’t just improve performance — it builds confidence, belonging, and belief.

We celebrated National Girls & Women in Sports Day, welcomed new leaders to help guide our mission, and continued supporting communities rebuilding through the power of play. We’re also incredibly grateful for the $40,000 grant from Phillies Charities, which will help us expand access for even more young athletes.

And we’re looking ahead to Phillies Community Day on April 18 — a special opportunity to gather, celebrate, and grow the game together.

Thank you for pitching in. Because of you, kids aren’t just playing — they’re thriving.

With gratitude,
Meredith P. Kim
CEO, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball

January Impact Snapshot

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners, January marked a strong start to 2026. In just one month, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball reached:

  • 24 states across the U.S.
  • 3 countries globally
  • 13,647 kids
  • $360,776 in donated baseball and softball equipment

Access to proper equipment removes barriers, builds confidence, and creates opportunity. We are deeply grateful to the organizations, volunteers, and supporters who continue to help us grow the game and expand access for young athletes everywhere.

Phillies Charities Awards $40,000 Grant to PIFBS

Big things are happening in Philadelphia.

We are honored to be recognized by Phillies Charities, Inc. with a generous $40,000 grant supporting our mission to remove barriers and increase access to baseball and softball for local youth.

Since 2005, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball has helped thousands of student-athletes find opportunity, confidence, and community through sport. This grant allows us to expand our impact and place critical equipment directly into the hands of players who need it most.

On Wednesday, February 25, we’ll host our School-Based Program Equipment Distribution at Citizens Bank Park — an exciting moment to see community partnership in action.

Thank you to the Phillies for investing in youth access and opportunity.

Save the Date! Phillies Community Day with PIFBS: April 18
