In our first-ever $5 Friday, we want to share one of our favorite stories about Lena from Minneapolis, MN. Lena`s original glove was way too small for high school softball. When her school received a PIFBS equipment grant, Lena was given a glove that fit her perfectly. Her play that season improved so much that she won the Most Outstanding Defensive Player award!

A new glove can make a massive difference in the way a child plays. Today on $5 Friday, will you donate to help us make a difference for other players like Lena? Venmo us at @pifbs and help us provide the same opportunity that Lena was able to have.

For over a decade now, I have been teaming up with my official charity partner Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS). Recently, I caught a game with Jamie, the winner of last year’s Watch with Zack Game Auction Fundraiser! We had a great time snagging balls at Yankee Stadium and supporting PIFBS’ mission of making sure a lack of equipment is never a reason why kids cannot play ball. If you missed out on this opportunity, DO NOT WORRY, because I am running another fundraiser for PIFBS in 2023! And, once again, we have some awesome prizes including a CUSTOM Wilson A2K glove, and various signed memorabilia from current and former MLB All-Stars. All you have to do is follow the link in their bio (@pifbs) and make a pledge for every ball I catch during the 2023 season. A donation of just $0.10 per ball will enter you into the drawing for all the great prizes. So, join me in helping to ensure all kids can enjoy the game we love. ...
