Ann Lynch Elementary School in Las Vegas, NV received an equipment grant from PIFBS in 2020 that allowed the school to start a baseball program and introduce kids to the game.
“Diego is the reason I wanted to start a baseball program at Lynch ES. The previous year I handed out flyers for the local Little League to help boost their numbers and expose these students to baseball. Diego was super excited about it, he said he played baseball with his family. When I asked later how baseball was going, he said he couldn’t join because his family couldn’t afford it. Thanks to Pitch in for Baseball & Softball, I was able to start this program at our school and provide a way for Diego to play.” – Alex Alger, Coach
