In the Kingdom of Bhutan, an equipment grant has helped develop a youth baseball league that serves children ages 8-18. With 200 kids involved, the league had worried it would not have enough equipment for the level of interest they were receiving before they were awarded a grant.

Jigme, 10, shared that he had never heard of baseball before, and had never seen it on TV. One day his friend convinced him to go watch a local game. Jigme thought it was cricket at first. He thought it looked interesting, and wanted to play too. He really enjoyed it and started playing ball every week, making sure to show up for every practice.
