Pitch In For Baseball & Softball, Extra Innings, and Wilson Sporting Goods partner to collect equipment to help under-resourced children play ball

MIDDLETON, MA โ€“ Extra Innings has collaborated with Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) and Wilson Sporting Goods to run a campaign to collect gently used baseball and softball equipment across the United States. Eighteen (18) Extra Innings Training Center locations scattered from the northeast to the west coast will place collection bins in the lobbies of their centers to encourage kids and parents alike to donate their gently used gear that they no longer need. The collected gear will be sent to Pitch In For Baseball who will redistribute it to kids around the world in need of equipment.

Wilson Sporting Goods will be providing a generous discount of 15% off products within any of their five brands to children who donate gently used gear to benefit Pitch In For Baseball. The promotion hopes to encourage and support youth philanthropy in a way that the children donating the equipment can personally connect to through the game of baseball or softball. Discount coupons can be redeemed at the Pro Shop which are located within each Extra Innings Training Centerโ€™s locations. Extra Innings locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas all have at least one center participating in the drive. For a complete list of participating locations, please visit pifbs.wpengine.com/collection-events . โ€œWe couldnโ€™t be more excited for this partnership with Extra Innings. One of our greatest challenges is accessing the gently used gear that is out there. This partnership adds 18 locations across the country, making it easier than ever for donors to drop off their gently used gear and help more kids play ball,โ€ says David Rhode, CEO and Founder of Pitch In For Baseball & Softball. โ€œWe are proud to be working with Pitch In For Baseball.

What their organization stands for is truly amazing and we are glad Extra Innings is a part of it,โ€ said Rob Nash, President of Extra Innings Companies. Founded in 2005, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) is the central organization for the collection and redistribution of new and gently used youth baseball and softball equipment to underserved communities around the world. PIFBS had distributed equipment and uniforms to more than 90 countries worldwide and every state in the United States impacting over 600,000 children in need. Based outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, PIFBS is a 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization.
